Past story:

Cameron was born and raised within the confines of Wall Rose, he lived a normal life with his mother and father. His father was a member of the military police while his mother was a stay at home mom. ( Even though his father was part of the military police, they decided to stay within Wall Rose instead of moving into Wall Sina since they didn’t want to move from their community - plus when Cammie met Nikki, he definitely didn’t want to leave. ) His father was a huge inspiration for Cameron as a child. He wanted to become just like his father and join the military. Everyday Cameron would excitedly wait for his father’s return, just to hear his adventures and other stories about the titans and life around the different walls.

Cameron was so inspired by the stories that he used to pretend to be a solider, explored the town, and helped anyone in need Though he usually made things worse, but he tried. Even though Cameron spent a lot of time in town, he didn’t have a lot of friends due to his bluntness and how easily he got irritated. So he spent the majority of his time exploring the town alone. He didn’t particular mind that he didn’t have a lot friends, since he only cared about joining the military with his father.

Though one day, when he was exploring a new section of town, he bumped into a boy around the same age as him. He, of course, got angry at the kid for bumping into him. Even though the boy explained himself and apologized, Cameron did feel a little bad that he got so angry over an accident, but it was still irritated that it happened. He pushed the kid away from him and continued to explore the town. "I mean, what are the odds that he would meet that kid again" he thought. But how wrong he was, he met the boy several more times. Each time the boy would ask him to hang out, but Cameron would refuse each time. It came to a point that Cameron would run away every time he saw him just to prevent him from asking him to hang out again. Though after so many attempts from that boy, Cameron eventually gave in and finally said yes. He thought it would be the best way to get rid of him. Yet again, how wrong he was to think that. That boy was Nikki and he soon became one of the closest friends Cameron had ever had.

Life was good. Cameron had loving parents, a best friend that he could never replace, and no worries. However everything changed when the Colossal Titan attacked Wall Maria. On that day, his mother brought him into Wall Maria to shop for some items for the house. It was a pretty normal day .... the children were playing around, people were walking throughout the town, nobody thought anything bad would happen.. But then the Colossal Titan appeared, peering over Wall Maria. Even though they were in the middle of the city, that could still see him. Cameron couldn't believe his eyes ..that wall is 50 meters tall..He had always heard about titans, but this was nothing he had prepared for. Silence flew over the city, but chaos soon broke out when the titan kicked a hole in the wall. People started to run and scream. His mother grabbed Cameron and tried to run, but the chaos was out of control. Titans were destroying building, grabbing people, and eating them. Cameron was extremely scared. He never realized how terrifying the titans could be, he was completely frozen. His mother picked him up and ran. All he could see was red. The flames engulfed the city.. the blood splatter everywhere. All he wanted was for everything to go back.. As they were running, his mother took the wrong turn and came across a fallen building - a dead end. She turned to see huge eyes staring back at them. His mom threw Cameron in the debris to protect him. The titan came closer. Cameron watched from behind the rumble. He tried to fight the tears, but couldn't. He had to do something, but he was so frozen in fear. But he remember his father's stories of brave soldiers and realized he needed to stand up against the titan even though he was so scared. He yelled for his mother to run away and ran towards her. He grabbed her hand and was about to run for it .... But something flew from the sky - the military. The Stationary guards were trying to fight the titans off and save as many people as they could. But, this time it wasn't a stationary guard who saved them - it was his father. His father team had just came back from the king's mission and saw the chaos broke. They were directed to go back to the inner wall to protect the king and the other noble men, but his father disobeyed his order and left the team. He knew his family was in the chaos within Wall Maria and he needed to do something.

His father killed the titan and they were safe for that brief moment. Cameron and his mother ran to him which in return his father greeted them with open arms.

"Its not safe here, you two need to head to Wall Rose. I will protect you guys, just go." His father hugged them one last time.

Cameron watched his father fly off and disappear within seconds. As soon as he disappeared, they both ran to Wall Rose and finally they made it inside. After many hours since the attack on Wall Maria, they finally close the gates. Wall Maria had officially been taken over by the titans. Humanity lost many soldiers and families that day - even Cameron's father. His mother cried nonstop for days. His father's death took a huge toll on him, but he knew he needed to be strong for his father. So he tried to comfort her and protect her, but ever since his father died his mother became distant and depressed.

On that day, Cameron promised to join the military to protect his mom and his family..

During Training Days...

After joining the 104th Training Squad, his mother fell into a deeper depression, always in fear and depressed from her husband's death. She constantly worried about the safety within the walls and eventually she became terrible weak and sick. Cameron wanted to work hard to be placed in the Military Police, so that his mother would be relocated within the inner walls and would be provided with protection and medical attention. However, her heath quickly deteriorated and soon died within a couple weeks.

Even though Cameron had lost both his parents, he knew he had to stay strong. He then promised himself he would join the military and would not let any more people die, since he doesn't want people to experience what he experienced...

Reason:

He wanted to join the military police to follow in his father’s footsteps, but more importantly, he wanted to join too ensure safety for his mother. However, before he was admitted into the 104th Trainees Squad, his mother fell into deep depression due to his father's death. So Cameron worked even harder to join the military police to provided the protection his mother needed....

Another reason he wanted to join the military police is to change the way people view the military police. He knows that people view them as lazy and corrupt, but he believes that not everybody is that way. So he plans to join and hopefully prove that the military police is much better than that.

Finally, he also wanted to join the military police to be next to Nikki and by being by his side when he is ever in need. Nikki is like family to him and only wants to protect him. He doesn’t want to lose any more family..
